Description:

You must be a fast, independent worker who can produce quality publications in a short amount of time and can effectively manage the workload with minimal supervision.

Cross border travel between Canada and the USA is required.

Qualifications/Skills Requirement

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience as a member of a design team participating in the software development lifecycle would be considered an asset.

         Proficient in Business Requirements, Gap Analysis gathering and Functional Specification design

         Knowledge of and ability to utilize and capture processes in response to business and documents requirements

         Excellent Communication skills with the ability to express complex concepts in simplified written, verbal and/or visual means

         Strong leadership, organizational & decision making skills

  • Self motivated with excellent problem solving skills

         Advanced knowledge & understanding of business operations applications, databases, web and portal functionality

         Thrives in a high pressure environment

         In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio and Access

 

Responsibilities

         Working with Managers to determine, produce and support documentation requirements

         Examine, recommend and implement changes to customs brokerage, freight, finance and warehousing business processes

  • Advise on strategic long term and immediate regulatory changes which impact business processes

         Be part of the team that researches, prioritizes, and implements standardized specifications and development methodologies specifically related to capturing areas for improvement related to technology used in business processes

o   Assist with project planning, documentation, and training of clients and staff on existing and new web based and other trade related computer applications

o   Assist in setting look and feel standards, design, quality control and testing procedures

         Work with development and operations teams to build applications to specifications:

o   Liaise with other managers and analysts to create effective two way flow of information

o   Establish strong relationships with key clients, with respect to portal applications, gathering user input and feedback

         Demonstration and training Management of customer facing applications including portal and company website

         Maintaining and sharing an accurate understanding of internal knowledge-sharing processes to ensure delivery of requested information at the right time.

         Prioritizing work in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment to meet tight time lines and business needs to ensure all service level agreements are met.

         Identifying process, procedure, and information gaps, and participating in brainstorming for solutions.

         Learn and understand Customs processes and regulations leading to completion of the CCS (Canadian and/or US) designations
