Low Value NAFTA Origin Declaration - To Canada
| Low Value Statement of Origin If your shipment is valued at less than CAN$2,500 and is not a part of a series of shipments, you can use a Statement of Origin from the exporter or producer certifying that your goods originate within a NAFTA, CIFTA, CCFTA, or CCRFTA territory. This means you do not have to fill out the formal Certificate of Origin.
Note: The CAN$2,500 applies only to the exemption from completing a certificate of origin; the goods must meet the rules of origin requirements. Furthermore, if it is found that a shipment is part of a series of exportations that are intended to circumvent the formal certification process, a customs administration may request that the importer obtain the formal certificate of origin. For commercial shipments of less than CAN$2,500, the statements of origin may be handwritten, stamped, or typed on the commercial contract or actual invoices. Pre-printed statements of origin are not permitted on the sales invoice but are permissible on separate forms. | 1/9/2013 |

NAFTA Exporter's Certificate of Origin

This document may also be completed voluntarily by the producer. The information supplied on the certificate should be typed or printed.
Note: It is strongly recommended that you view or print the Completion Instructions (you can find these on page 2 of the form) prior to filling out the NAFTA Certificate.
